Yin and Gong Bath with Massage at Casita Yoga

Through the transformational sound of the gong, the relaxation of Yoga Nidra, and the surrender of Yin yoga and massage, Sami and Patricia will take you on a journey of deep release, making space for new dreams and visions.

Yin is a mindful and passive practice that allows the muscles of the body and mind to relax, creating space in the joints and connective tissues, allowing you to release tension physically, mentally & emotionally. During your yin class, Sami will play gongs and other instruments in a therapeutic way to bring about healing and relaxation, whlist Patricia will come round applying hands-on Thai massage.

The “doing” is the “not doing”. This is the perfect time of the year to be still and quiet allowing ourselves to compost old ideas and use our new found energy to plant the seeds for the year ahead.

Price: £30

Please note we require a minimum attendance of 5 for the event to take place.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the event starts in order to settle peacefully.

New Year Yin and Gong Bath with Massage

Diving Deeper into Yoga

In this class we hold our positions for longer, we allow the body to absorb the wisdom of the shapes and organically unfold, connecting deeply and releasing completely. Yin Yoga enables a softening of the mind, body and emotions, opening of the fascia and balancing of the meridians. It provides a wonderful complement to other more Yang practices and our typical busy city lives. Through mostly remaining still in poses we begin to tap into our calm intuitive wisdom and relax into ourselves.

Yin yoga poses allow us to release the fascia/connective tissue in the body, through floor-based postures which are held for several minutes. Within these long holds there is an encouragement of softness and an emphasis on relaxing muscular tissue. Through this stillness, we can become aware of the various sensations within the body and the fluctuations of mind, emotions and breath.

Restorative Yoga poses are supported with many props being held for long periods of time to allow the body to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (the relax/renew response). This will allow your body to rest fully.

New Years Day Cacao Workshop

Please join Shaun Amos, Valerie Teh, and Sami Fitz for an affordable workshop at Shaun’s studio at Marble Arch.

We will set intentions, drink cacao, and welcome in the new year by chanting OM 108 times. Then we’ll go straight into a sound meditation.

108 has long been considered a sacred number in Hinduism and Yoga.

What a magical way to start the year.
